TORRENTS Mission Statement:
TORRENTS is a Washington, D.C.–based Cultural Memory Agency working at the intersection of art, film, music, and emerging technology. We develop interdisciplinary programs, documentaries, performances, and public gatherings that explore how cultural memory is recorded, transmitted, and re-imagined for future generations. Through exhibitions, film screenings, listening sessions, collaborative forums & more, the agency creates spaces where artists, musicians, scholars, and technologists can engage the past while building new cultural infrastructures for the present and future.
